How long have we been in operation?
We have been in the used cooking oil collection and containment industry since 2015.
We have been an LDEQ certified recycling and transfer facility since 2017.
Is Used Cooking Oil Recycling FREE?
Absolutely! Not only is used cooking oil containment, collection, and recycling services completely free of charge, in most cases we will actually pay you for your oil OR directly rebate the cost of a grease trap cleaning service via our sister company New Orleans Grease Trap Cleaning.
What kind of oil do we recycle?
At New Orleans Oil Recycling we recycling Used Cooking Oil (UCO), Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO), and Yellow Grease. We DO NOT recycle any shortening, lard, or any petroleum based oils such as waste motor oil.
What size and type of containers are available?
We generally use a poly-type injection molded 125 gallon bulk used cooking oil container, but we have all types and sizes of containers ranging from 30 gallon drums to 320 gallon bulk metal box-type containers. Size and type of container depends on several factors and can be evaluated via a free consultation.
Can we dispose of HOT used cooking oil or grease in the containers?
Yes and No.
Although most of our bulk UCO containers are hot oil rated, not all containers are created equally. Many containers are rated for only warm used cooking oil, such as smaller poly-type drums. Whereas other containers, such as bulk box-type metal units, are rated for 300-degrees plus waste oil.
Are collection intervals scheduled or do we need to call for a pick-up?
We prefer to place you on a collection interval. We pride ourself on excellent service and place you on a collection frequency that ensures you always have room to dispose of used cooking oil. (However, it's ok if you prefer to call us for a pick-up when full.)
How do we schedule an EMERGENCY collection of our oil?

What happens if we have a spill?
Yikes! A spill is big deal. Call us immediately and we’ll help you clean up the mess.
How do we get paid for used cooking oil?
Getting paid is simple. For single location restaurants and commercial food establishments we generally write you a check at the time of a pick up. For multiple location accounts we send out checks monthly.
